Crochet Along Day 3 – Finshed the Head and Body

Today is Day 3 and I finished the head and the body.  I know I am a slow crocheter.  I think it’s because I am a bit of a perfectionist.  I do really hope everyone is having fun!

I plan to put my finished bunny in my daughter’s Easter basket.  What plans do you all have for yours?

  1. After one grandson left, 2 more grandkids arrived. One of my 2 y/o granddaughters decided what was to be done with the one I was making. Before they’d gotten here, I’d sewn the ears, eyes (I made eyes with yarn (multiple knots) as most of the grandkids are under 5, have teeth and bite and tug things), and the arms on and had it all sitting on the counter. She sees something (may have been the pink that attracted her ’cause she has never seemed so interested before) on the counter and nears the step stool, climbs up, smiles super big, and retrieves the incomplete bunny. It was both heartwarming and sad to see her tuck that legless bunny into the crook of her arm and carry it around with her as she smiled like it was perfect just the way it was. I couldn’t think of anything else to do with the legs and tail so we worked to distract her in order to get the bunny so that I could attach the rest of its’ parts. As soon as they’re on, it’ll be given back to her. Now, I’ll have to make more for the other grandkids.
